Using this tutorial I made this jacket for Liam today. When I saw this tutorial I thought it was so cute and since I had 4 bags of clothes in the garage waiting to be donated it was the perfect time.
On Saturday I rooted through the bags and found a few shirts that I could use. I got a zipper at Joann Fabrics last time I was there. I even used an old shirt instead of ribbing for the bottom and sleeves of the jacket.
It didn't take too long and was pretty easy. I ran into a little trouble with the hood and had to do some fixing. But it didn't turn out too bad. He likes it.
That is one cute boy.
A photo journal of the things I create, am creating, or want to create, causing me constant distraction.

Freezer paper stencil T-shirts
Using this tutorial, or this (they are different) we decided to make St. Pattys Day shirt. Really only Liam's is technically St. Pattys. The girls wanted something a little different.
Since Travis was out of town, Steve and Shawna dropped by to visit and I made them stay and help with the t-shirts. I was very happy to have their help! One t-shirt (with a decisive child, or predetermined design) would be pretty easy, but 3 were more involved.
I think they turned out super cute. You can't see the bottom of Lydia's shirt but it says Lydia in "princess cursive".
I have to give complete credit to Steve and Shawna on the girls' shirts. They cut out all the frezzer paper and helped the girls figure out what they wanted.
