Teacher appreciation gifts
Found these cute insulated cups at the dollar store. I filled them with Andes mints, mint gum, and lifesavers mints. With a washi covered tag that says, "Thanks for all of your encourage"mint"!
Also, these Lindor truffles bags (3 truffles for a $1). I got these for the bus drivers and helpers.

Little desk makeover
So, I found this desk on the side of the road! Loved how tiny it was and Lydia has been needing a desk. She LOVES to do art! I was drawn to these colors. Lydia is a very bright person, and her room is not painted, so it needs some color. I am disappointed that the teal does not look like it does in this picture. The picture looks turquoise, but it has more green in it. Closer to aqua. The drawer I covered with Washi Tape. I put a layer of spray adhesive on the drawer front (after removing the knob), covered it with washi, then sprayed a clear coat of spray paint on top. I had to glue (with Elmer's glue) the ends down, just because washi is not the stickiest, and I didn't want it to peal off.

Pi Day wedding shower decor
My dear sister, Elisabeth, and her fiance, Daniel, decided to get married on Pi Day (March 14, 2014). So, of course, we had to have a pie theme for the shower. Her colors were also, green and green and white, so that was incorporated.
I decided for the invitations we HAD to have a lattice top pie, where the filling was the invite. They turned out cute. I had a lot of help. Shawna did the filling and it turned out so cute. My friend, Laura, who totally understands why I would NEED to take on something so crazy helped make the pie crusts with me.
Elisabeth wanted a Kelly green, but we did some lime and turquoise as well. I also added some burlap which is apparently super hot right now. Here is the gift table. I made felt circle banners to put up where ever. We also made tissue paper flowers which are cheap, quick, and so pretty.
My Mom totally ran with my desire to do individual pies. We decided cream pies would work better than fruit pies that would have to be cooked. So we had Chocolate Cream pie, Cheesecake (just go with it), and Key Lime pies (because we had to have something green!).
Okay, these pinwheel/fans are my go to for any decorating. They are so festive and colorful. We had an amazing spread of food to which many people contributed. So many people were helpful with every aspect of the day.
I wish you could see this better. It is burlap pieces with Mr. and Mrs written on them (Shawna made them, adorable!). They are hung onto twine with washi covered clothes pins and then the flowers on the sides.
This fabric banner was lent to me by my friend and turned out really cute.
